- How do I know if my phone supports eSIM?
- Open the phone dialler and type *#06#. If an EID number (32 digits) appears next to the IMEI, your device has eSIM hardware. You can also look under Settings → General → About on iPhone, or Settings → About phone → SIM status on Android.
- My phone model is not on the list. Does that mean it has no eSIM?
- No. New models appear faster than any list can be updated, and the same model can differ between countries. Check the EID on the device itself — that is the definitive answer.
- Why does one model say 'depends on variant'?
- Manufacturers sell the same model name with different hardware per region. A unit bought in one country may have eSIM while the same model bought elsewhere does not, so the EID check on your own unit is what counts.
- Does a carrier-locked phone work with a travel eSIM?
- No. If the phone is locked to a carrier, it will refuse profiles from other providers even when the EID exists. Ask your carrier to unlock it first.
- Can I install a travel eSIM on a smartwatch?
- Usually not. Cellular smartwatches use a companion number issued by your home carrier, not a standalone data plan, so travel eSIM profiles cannot be installed on them.
